UNITY PERSONNEL MAKE THE LEAP FOR CHARITY - 02/03/2008

March 2008

Leeds-based recruitment consultancy Unity Personnel has pledged to raise thousands of pounds for the Kids Count Trust, which is the official charity of 96.3 Radio Aire and Magic 828. The campaign started in style with Director Nick Tomkinson jumping out a plane for the cause. A parachute was supplied!

Nick jumped from 14,000 feet on Saturday at the North West Parachute Centre near Grange over Sands in Cumbria in support of the charity.

Unity chose to support the Kids Count Trust due to the excellent work they carry out in the region to help sick, disabled and underprivileged children in Yorkshire. The company has chosen to spend 2008 raising money and offering resources that can be of help to the charity.

Nick Tomkinson, Commercial and Finance Director, will be leading Unity’s support for the charity during 2008. He comments “We are very impressed with the work Kids Count is doing in the Yorkshire region. By committing all of our fundraising during 2008 to Kids Count, we hope we can really make a difference for underprivileged children within the region.”

Ros Raine, Charity Manager for The Kids Count Trust comments “We are very grateful to Unity Personnel for committing their support to us, as their Charity of the Year. Corporate supporters are vital to us in being able to provide continued support to children within the Yorkshire area. The Parachute jump with Nick, myself a few other intrepid supporters raised over £10,000 and was a great way to kick off Unity’s campaign.”
